Michael was born September 1, 1961 in Niles, MI the son of Robert Allen and Joan Verena(Dickerson)McLellan.

Michael was a graduate of Three Rivers High School in 1979. Michael honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Upon his return to Three Rivers, he worked as a sports reporter for the Three Rivers Commercial News and also taught photography at Glen Oaks Community College. He was employed at Bippus Shell for ten years as a mechanic and was most recently employed at McDonald’s Towing. He also enjoyed acting and participating in all activities with the Three Rivers Community Players. Michael was an avid golfer, enjoyed throwing darts, and was very handy with computers.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. McLellan, two grandfathers, and one grandmother, and one uncle.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory wife, Jinyan“ Bliss”(Huang)McLellan of Portage, MI; mother, Joan McLellan, of Three Rivers; grandmother, Hazel Dickerson of Ponchatoula, LA; brother, Robert(Karen)McLellan of Ft. Wayne, IN and their children, Brian, Kyle, and Lisa McLellan; sisters, Linda(Steve Gibson)McLellan of Ponchatoula, LA and their children, Faith & Anna Gibson and Sandra(Peter Priestner)McLellan of Chelmsford, MA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Obituary Notice

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00p.m. at the Hohner Funeral Home 1004 Arnold St; Three Rivers, Mi on Friday, February 10, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00p.m. with one hour visitation prior to service at the First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers 320 N. Main St on Saturday, February 11, 2012 with Rev. Dr. Jon Deily officiating.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul in Kalamazoo or the Animal Rescue Fund of St. Joseph County. Envelopes are available at the Hohner Funeral Home in care of Peter’s arrangements.
