After graduating from high school, Lyle enlisted in the United States Army where he served his tour of duty in Japan. After being discharged from the Army he returned to his hometown of Parma, MI and married Betty, went on to study and graduate from RETS School of Electronics in Detroit Michigan and ultimately ended up in the Three Rivers area. Lyle attained the position of Service Manager for the Montgomery Wards Company both in Three Rivers and Grand Rapids, MI. In 1964 Lyle opened his own business “Lyle's T.V. & Appliance” store on North Main Street in Three Rivers, Michigan where he operated his sales and service business for the next 25 years.
Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, water skiing and his vegetable garden but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, which was always his priority. The years at Clear Lake when his children were growing up were his fondest memories and the stories and tales were always told over-and-over at family gatherings. Laughter was always prevalent at the Livingston house most of the time from the “antics” of Lyle. He will be missed dearly and irreplaceable in our hearts.
Now...Rest....Dear Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend, your battle was tough and fought with ultimate courage - until we meet again!
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Emily Singh and her office staff, Lori B with Bronson Home Health Care, our good friend Kontrina and Southern Care Hospice along with the many friends and very special neighbors who helped us get through this difficult time. Our hearts will always be linked with Dr. Edward Atawi who went above and beyond, on so many different levels, to not only do his medical best for Lyle but to care for his family in a way never before experienced! We will forever be grateful and you will always be considered a member of Lyle's family.
The family requests donations be made to “Hope for Lincoln” to help support Lincoln Hoffmaster through his journey to fight Leukemia.
