Thompson Family - Ellen was such a awesome woman, a true friend. I met her thru Ameritech, everyone thought we were sisters, then we finally met! Through friendship, we became sisters! Over the years, I loved how no matter how much time had passed, we picked right up where we left off! She helped me thru many a trial, I still refer to her wisdom, I can hear her in my head... "Pick Your Battles", my favorite Ellen quote! Thank you for sharing her with us! I will love her until I see her again. My heartfelt love and prayers for you all, especially in the months to come when you are missing her even more. I love you Ellie-El. Your "sister", Mellie-Mel.

To Vesta, Ron, John and Jeanie My heart is sorrowful at the loss of Ellie. She was a beautiful and gentle spirit. I know she lives on through eternity and has her rewards and crowns from Christ her Lord. I pray that your hearts are comforted that she no longer suffers in this flesh. She stayed the course, she finished the race. Love you. Leslie Gay and Family

There are people that pass through our lives and leave an impression that everytime you think of them and the times you shared together it makes you smile. I know her brother John and the rest of her family can take heart in knowing she truly was someone everyone loved. Especially me. You will get through this as God never leaves any of us alone.

I am so sorry for your loss. Me and Ellen laughed and cried together. She was a dear friend that I saw at target and she always had a smile on her face. We met while Mike Jackson was on WKMI AM and never quit being friends. She had a very kind smile and a great personality. She will be missed by all who knew her.
