A Celebration of Mr. Johnson’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home, 54269 Wilbur Rd., Three Rivers, MI., with Pastor Brenda Deily officiating.

Obituary Notice

Leonard “Len” Albin Johnson, age 86, of Three Rivers, formerly Milford, MI , passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Riversview Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. He was born on Sept. 26, 1926 in Detroit, MI. the son of the late Oscar C. and Bessie (Colton) Johnson.
Leonard honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an avid Tigers Fan, loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and animals of all kinds. Len was a very artistic and charismatic man, he loved woodcarving, working with his hands and whistling a familiar tune.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Virginia Carpenter.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife Beatrice (Paldan) Johnson, of Three Rivers; two daughters, Nancy (Harold) Standish, of Three Rivers, Beth (David) Houts, of Gainesville, FL.; two sons, Leonard K. Johnson, of Denver, CO., and Robert F.(Debbie) Johnson, of Vancouver, WA.; grandchildren, Matthew and Sara Houts, Spencer, Jordan, and Alexa Johnson; nephew, Dr. Carson Carpenter.

Oh the memories. The fun we had at the lake where we first met. The fishing trip with Len and Jim in one boat and Bea and I in another. So many more wonderful memories with wonderful friends will always be with me.
