Back in High School I played football with "Bumper" . He had a great sense of humor and was a great guy to be around. Sorry to see him go at such a young age. Will always remember the fun times.

The Wing family gave me some of my best memories of growing up. I remember Bumper sitting on the piano bench beside his mother and making faces as she played and sang "Wonderful Words of Life" at The Church of God on South Main. The congregation there was family. May God bless his family that remain. He is now with his family that has passed, hopefully sitting at a piano singing. We'll all love him forever.

Having read of your loved one falling asleep in death, I'd like to send my sympathy. Many folks are losing their lives to cancer at an alarming rate and young age. Families have a long period of grief and suffer greatly. I talk to many people at times like these and offer comfort by way of the Bible. Very religious folks have told me they had lingering questions that were answered from the Bible. Genesis 3:19 does say that when we die we return to the dust that we came from. But what about the future? These scriptures can be found in any Bible: Psalm 37:29 John 5:28.29 Acts 24:15 Isaiah 25:8 Isaiah 35:5,6 and Revelation 21:4 We can believe these because Revelation 21:5 says: "Write, for theses words are faithful and true." God's Word can calm our hearts and minds when no human can. Delmas is in God's memory, may he be in your memories often, with days getting brighter as each one passes by. Sincerely, Cathy Taylor

I was so saddened by Bumper's passing. I went to Constantine High School with him and he is one of the guys I remember best because he was such a great person. He had a great and positive attitude. I'll never forget the time he rode a skate board down that big hill on 131 going into Three Rivers. He brought life into things. He'll be sorely missed.

Losing a loved one in death is a most difficult and heart rending experience. No one can truly feel what you are now experiencing. Know that death is not the end. There is going to be a resurrection of our loved ones as the Bible informs us. Acts 24:15 - and I have hope+ toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. I too pray that you will find comfort in knowing your loved one is not suffering and will awaken to a place where death will no longer be a factor. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. When you are able there is much comforting information on the resurrection on our website – jw.org.
