The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor John Booko officiating.
Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.
Lawrence “Larry” L. Mains, age 67, of Three Rivers passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Larry was born in Three Rivers on September 10, 1946 the son of Charles Edward and Irene Madeline(Warner)Mains.
Larry was a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. Larry owned and operated with his late wife Mary, "Mains Handyman Service” for over fifty years. He was often known as the “John Deere Man”. Larry was very proud of the service that he provided to his customers and families he served over the years, where he made many lasting friendships. He was a member of the American Legion Hice- Shutes Post # 170 and a life member of the Three Rivers Eagles # 2303.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, beloved stepfather, Oscar Parker, wife, Mary Louise Mains, brother, Alan Mains, and sisters, Pat Mains and Dena Vancely.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory daughters, Melissa(Wilbur, Jr.)Berry, Renee Mains, and Michele(Brad)Slaton all of Three Rivers; sister, Sharon Detwiler-Wood of Three Rivers; brother-in-laws, Bill(Betty Jean)German of Chicago, IL and Rodney German of Vandalia, MI; grandchildren, Jessica and Travis Hale, Danielle(Cameron Majka)Mains, Marissa Berry, Tyler, Mariya, and Trevor Slaton, and Rayna Mains; step grandchildren, Joe(Brian Hayes)Berry and Paula and Denny Manier.
