The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at the Schoolcraft United Methodist Church, with Rev. Karen Wheat officiating.
Interment will be held in Schoolcraft Cemetery.
Anna Hamilton, age 88, of Vicksburg, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at the Bowman House in Three Rivers, MI. Anna was born on April 7, 1926 in Flannagen, PA., the daughter of the late Andrew C. and Mary (Cymbunich) Mikula.
Ms. Hamilton has been a long time resident of this area. She met and married her late husband Mr. Eugene Hamilton Sr., shortly after WWII. Together they raised four beautiful children who were always central in Anna’s life.
She was a long time and faithful member of Chapman Memorial Church in Vicksburg, MI., where she was very active. Anna loved to play games, she loved to give hugs to friends and strangers alike, and above all her family was her love and passion. Anna’s gentle kindness and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, four children, daughters, Gloria Aspergren and her late husband Bob, of Schoolcraft, Anna (Steve) Harden, of Three Rivers; sons, Leonard Hamilton, of Kalamazoo, and Eugene Hamilton Jr., of Mesick, MI.; grandchildren, Michelle (Troy) Sremba, Jill (Adam) Wood, Adam (Amber) Hamilton, Drew (Jolie) Hamilton, Adam (Brittany) Harden, Benjamin Harden, Kristofer Harden, and Rachel Harden; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jake Sremba, Brooke and Marissa Munson, MacKenzie and Addison Hamilton, and Raigan Harden.
Memorials may be donated to the South County Community Services where Anna was very active as a volunteer. Envelopes available at the Hohner Funeral Home in care of her arrangements.
