Service Details

In accordance with Duane’s wishes visitation services will be held on Tuesday June 13th, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home in Three Rivers, MI. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m at Hohner Funeral Home with military honors conducted under the auspices of the American Legion Post # 170. Cremation is to take place following the service.                                

Obituary Notice

Mr. Duane E. Quake, 82, of Three Rivers, Michigan passed away peacefully at Heartland Health Care Center on June 3rd, 2017. He was born on November 20th of 1934 the son of the late Claude and Mary (Cole) Quake in Three Rivers, Michigan.


Duane is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Mary as well as his siblings Ray, William, and Charles. He is also preceded in death by best friend and travelling companion Louise.


He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his friends from the coffee club, with which he spent many cherished hours.


Duane’s favorite things to do were to drink coffee with his friends in the morning and play in a band named “Gray’s Band"

  In lieu of flowers the family has asked that any donations be made to The St. Joseph County Animal Rescue Fund. Envelopes available at Hohner Funeral Home.

Uncle Duane you will always be in my memories as a caring and quiet man. I'll never forget we were at Grays band practice and I came in with a hair cut. You apparently didn't like it because you pulled out your wallet and showed me my graduation picture. That had to have been in there for a good 35 years and told me you liked my hair that way. All good memories!!!!
