Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Elks in Alexandria on August 31, 2019 at 6 p.m. A gathering of friends and family will take place at The Turf Bar in Milford on Saturday October 26, 2019 from 4-8 p.m.

THREE RIVERS, Mich. — Gregory B. Staines, age 61, passed away in the late hours of Monday, August 5, 2019 at 11:15 a.m. at his stepdaughter’s home.
He was born Oct. 25, 1957, in Anderson, to Austin and Betty (Kurtz) Staines. Both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, David.
He is survived by two stepchildren, Justin Cripe, Goshen, and Amber (John) Butler, Three Rivers, Mich.; a brother, Steve (Betty) Staines, Mendenhall, Mississippi.; a sister, Rhonda (Ken) Kirkpatrick, Greenfield; 5 nieces, Shanna, Carrie, Nettie, Emily and Jennie; a nephew, Ryan; and two grandsons, Blake Cripe and Sawyer Stevenson.
Greg worked as a laborer at Chore-Time, Milford, for 15 years. Prior to that he worked at Burger Dairy, New Paris. Out of high school, he served in the United States Army. He enjoyed yardwork, NASCAR, IU basketball and spending time with his grandchildren.

Sorry to hear of his passing, I had worked with him at Burger Dairy years ago, and briefly neighbors in New Paris. He was a hard worker with a great sense of humor.
Worked with him at CTB. He was a very sweet man. Funny yet a seriously good worker. He will be very much missed.
