A Licensed Funeral Director since 1996, Gabe is a graduate of Three Rivers High School, Ferris State University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He began working at Hohner’s in 1997 and was excited about purchasing the business in 2010. Gabe is the manager of Hohner’s where his wife Holly serves as a full time receptionist. They believe that Hohner’s is a funeral home families come to when they want to be treated like family and that providing great personal service at a fair price is the foundation of creating a funeral home that is family owned, operated, and oriented. They live in Three Rivers, along with their two children Isaac and Anabele. Gabe is a member of the Lions Club of Three Rivers, Rotary International, and they attend First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers. When not serving families, “We enjoy spending time with our children, golfing, and traveling.” They are always available and honored to serve.

Dan & Kylee AdamsOwner/Director

A Licensed Funeral Director since 2007, Dan is a graduate of Western Michigan University, and Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He and his brother Gabe were excited about purchasing the business in 2010. Dan lives in Kalamazoo with his wife Kylee, and their three children Ella, Owen and David. Dan serves as the manager for Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home where his wife Kylee serves as a receptionist. They believe that Hohner’s is a funeral home families come to when they want to be treated like family and that providing great personal service at a fair price is the foundation of creating a funeral home that is family owned, operated, and oriented. When not serving families, “We enjoy spending time with our children, being outdoors, attending sporting and theater events, and relaxing at his parents’ home on Fishers Lake.” Dan and his wife are members of First United Methodist Church on Park St., and he is a member of Rotary International.

Dan Halon, Funeral Service Associate 

Dan is a Funeral Service Associate who has been a member of the Hohner Family since 2000. Dan is a graduate of Mercy College of Detroit. Dan and his wife Jeri have been married for 32 years and reside at Corey Lake where they have raised their children, Corey, Drew & Nick. Dan is also a member of the Three Rivers Lions Club, National Association of the Realtors, and St. Joseph County Board of Realtors. When not working, “I enjoy being outdoors, fishing, gardening spending time at our home on Corey Lake with our children and grandchildren.” Dan is honored to be serving families and helping in any way that he can.

Max Tavernier, Funeral Service Associate

Max is a Funeral Service Associate who has been a member of the Hohner family since 1986. Max is a graduate of White Pigeon High School. He has been a liftime resident of the St. Joseph County area. He owned his own clothing store in Constantine for 4 years and also worked for the Three Rivers Savings Bank. When not working, “I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jinny, children and grandchildren, working in my yard, traveling and playing golf.” Max is honored to be serving families and helping in any way that he can.

Roger Stanfill, Funeral Service Associate

Roger Stanfill joined the staff at Hohner Funeral Home after working as the code enforcement officer for the city of Three Rivers and working at the St. Joseph County Jail. He enjoys assisting families in their time of need, and staying in touch with the friends he has made over the years here. He loves the outdoors, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Elena Meadows, Secretary

Elena comes to Hohner Funeral Home after many years as a managing editor for the Three Rivers Commercial-News, a freelance reporter for the Sturgis Journal, and an administrative assistant at First Presbyterian Church Three Rivers/Centreville. A Three Rivers resident, Elena belongs to the Three Rivers Rotary Club and the Three Rivers Lions Club. She enjoys photography, sending encouraging notes, playing piano, singing, square dancing, latchhooking, and paddleboarding. Elena and her husband, Jimmy, love team trivia, spending time with friends, serving at Moorepark Community Church, and being aunt and uncle to five adorable nieces and nephews!
