The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Hohner Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
Obituary Notice
Jay Dee Martin, age 78, of Three Rivers passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born in South Bend, IN the son of Ruth Krepel.
Jay Dee was united in marriage to Billie Mock on January 23, 1960 in White Pigeon, MI.
Jay Dee was employed as a pipefitter throughout the state but most recently was employed for many years at Cook Nuclear plant in Bridgman, MI where he retired from in 2000. He was a strong union supporter and belonged to UA Local 190 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union of Ann Arbor, MI.
He was an avid MSU fan and followed both football and basketball. He also enjoyed watching Detroit Lions and Tigers along with PGA golf. He loved the outdoors spending time fishing and hunting. Jay Dee always spent times with friends over morning coffee and luncheons on Fridays.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, stepfather, Ted Krepel, and sister, Linda (Martin) Wagner.
Jay Dee is survived by his wife, Billie (Mock) Martin; children, Danette Martin of Three Rivers and Jay Martin Jr., of Novi, MI.

Memorial donations may be directed to Heartland Healthcare Center of Three Rivers or the charity of one’s choice. Envelopes available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
