Obituary Notice
Dixie Lee (Hagenbuch) Griffith, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the age of 84.
Dixie was born to parents Leslie and Marie (Prutzman) Hagenbuch on October 17, 1936 at the hospital in Constantine. She grew up on the family farm, the youngest of five sisters and lived her entire life in the Three Rivers area. Dixie graduated from Three Rivers High School and worked in the office at Peterson Spring Corporation where she was introduced to Edward Griffith. She and Ed were married on June 6, 1959 and raised three children.
Dixie enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life including camping, crocheting, doll collecting and was especially fond of antiquing, auctions, and flea markets to find the next treasure for her varied collections. Dixie is survived by her loving husband, Edward Griffith; sister Jeanne Blum of Three Rivers; her children Steven (Barb) Griffith of Fruitport, Kyle (Elizabeth) Griffith of South Haven and Daryl (Christina) Griffith of Three Rivers; grandchildren Chelsea Griffith, Morgan (Benjamin) Brown, Cathy Griffith, Amelia Griffith, Neil (Mckenzee) Griffith, Samuel Griffith, Sawyer Griffith, great grandchildren Kenzie Brown, Kailey Brown and Orion Griffith as well as a whole host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Helen Bronson, Evelyn Gustafson, Patty Lou Hagenbuch; brothers-in-law James Bronson, Robert Blum, Jack Velie, Ellis “Gus” Gustafson; nieces Joy (David) Perricone, Monica Velie; and nephews Leslie Bronson and David (Donna) Bronson.
