Obituary Notice

Ronald Dean Bourn, 71, of Constantine, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home.

He was born July 22, 1951 in Elkhart, Ind., the son of Charles and Shirley (Shaw) Bourn, and graduated from Elkhart High School with the Class of 1969.

Ron worked with his father in the family business, Bourn & Sons Plastering, for more than 40 years. After retiring as a plasterer, he worked winters at Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area for many, many years.

He and Bonnie Bourn were together for nearly 50 years.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and had a special talent for finding mushrooms. He enjoyed playing guitar and had a bluegrass band for several years; sometimes he even played with rich and famous band members.

He was laid-back, kind and caring – a father and grandfather who loved his family.

Remaining to cherish his memory are Bonnie; one daughter, Gillian (Norm) Cupp; three granddaughters, Makenna, Brynn, and Nora Cupp; brother, Tim Bourn of Union; two nephews; three nieces; and his faithful dog, AnnaBelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert “Bob” Bourn.
