A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 332 State St., Mendon, with Msgr. Tom Martin as celebrant.

Obituary Notice
Edward Patrick Murphy, 77, of Sturgis, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Edgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born September 10, 1943 in Chicago, Ill., the son of David and Catherine (Lally) Murphy.
Edward worked as a purchasing agent for Fluor Daniel, and was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church. He loved lake life for 20 years, and participated with the Lake Templene Home Owners Association. He also enjoyed tennis, bowling and traveling.
On September 3, 1966 he married Mary Jo Satkus.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife; son, Patrick Murphy; daughter, Colleen (Derrick) Holl; grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan and Kaleigh Holl; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a twin sister, Cathy Johnson, and a brother, David.
