Service Details
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until a time of Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 1st, 2018 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June, 2nd, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Antony Rajesh as celebrant.

Heaven just became a little sweeter with the arrival of Elizabeth (Betty Darish) Dobrowolski, who passed away peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her home in Three Rivers, MI. with her family, just a week after her 104th birthday, May 21, 1914. Betty with her natural brother, Bill was born in Calumet, MI and were the adopted children of Robert and Kathryn Darish of Paw Paw, MI. Betty graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1933. After moving to Kalamazoo to work, Betty met and married her lifelong love, Joe Dobrowolski and then moved to Three Rivers to raise their seven children eventually acquiring their working farm south of Fisher Lake in 1954.
Betty lived an active, healthy productive life and enjoyed her working years in the Three Rivers Hospital kitchen, retiring at the age of 70. Betty was known for her beautiful flower garden arrangements, helpfulness, resourcefulness, kindness, and thoughtfulness. She loved to read and in later years traveled with her daughters to many parts of the U.S.A. and Canada. In her final years a county ride was her favorite past time after doing thousands of word search puzzles. Betty studied the Bible with her Bible friends and had a strong Catholic faith. She was a life member of the Immaculate Conception Church and also the Daughter’s of Mary. She shared a strong loving connection to her brother and his family who lived in the Detroit area.
Betty is survived by her five remaining children, Barbara (Tim) Davidson, Wesley (Carol), Mary (Tom) Merchant, Alice Dobrowolski, Jane (Bill) Shively, and daughter-in-law, Jody and sister-in-law, Betty Jane Darish; brother-in-law, Chester (Bernice) Dobrowolski. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Leo in 1999; two sons, James Joseph and William Chester; one brother, William Paul Darish; and one nephew, Robert Darish.
Betty also leaves to cherish her memory seven grandchildren, Michael (Mondae), Scott (Catherine), and Matthew Dobrowolski, and Becky (Ryan) McGill, Jennifer (Mike) Mack, Aimee (Joe) Camilleri, and Emily Davidson, along with sixteen great-grandchildren, Jalynne, Jaxon, Zachary, Trenton, Carly Jo, Drake, Jared, Joseph, Jake, Jeena, Juliet, Liliana, Ellie, Olivia, Trestan, Hunter, and many nieces and nephews.
