In accordance with family wishes, cremation will be conducted, and a celebration of life held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Poe’s Cemetery.

Shelley Sue (Salisbury) Cannon, 70, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born January 1, 1954, in Three Rivers. She was the daughter of Eldon J. and Gloria L. (Hunt) Salisbury. She graduated from Mendon High School in 1973.
She raised five children – one daughter and two sets of twins. In May 1974, she married Gary Cannon who passed away in 1988. She also had a life partner, Jerry Neel.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Shelley considered everyone family. Shelley would open her home and heart to anyone. She enjoyed having her house full of people. Her last wish was to be home, so she could be surrounded by the people she loved.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters: Tessa (Thomas) Ellsworth, Melinda Cannon, and Melissa Cannon; her sons: Cary Cannon and Gary Cannon, grandson: Samuel Ellsworth; brothers: Mitch (Fong) Salisbury and Todd (Denise) Troyer; sisters: Pam (Ken) Parker and Jan Salisbury; lifetime partner: Jerry Neel and his children, and many cherished extended family and friends that were important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; brother, Michael Salisbury; and grandson, Dominic Cannon.
Additional Information
Donations in Shelley’s memory may be directed or given to her oldest daughter to help cover funeral expenses since there was no life insurance. Envelopes are available at Hohner Funeral Home.

Growing up Momma Shelly was like a 2nd momma to me ❤️ when her kids got in trouble so did I 😂😂 I am so happy I got to experience first hand the love that Momma Shelly had for all of us kids ,Biological and bonus ❤️ she is greatly missed and holds a place in my heart ❤️ Momma Shelly loved everyone who she knew so deeply and she would do anything in the world for those she know and Cherished the world will definitely be a different place for it out her ❤️ she loved me and my kids the way she loved her own kids ❤️ my momma and her were best friends ❤️ I pray Momma Shelly and my momma are up there watching over us all and they are proud ❤️
From what I knew of Shelley, she was a dedicated mother who had unconditional love for her children and would do anything to help the people she loved. She seemed to be a woman of her word and was well respected and loved. She will be deeply missed by many.

I am so very sorry to hear you’ve left us, Shelley! You were my true friend in high school, and you were in my wedding almost 51 years ago. Life has mostly kept us apart since high school, but I’ve thought of you many times, wondering how you were doing ! Prayers for the family you left behind.
