Service Details
Her family will receive friends on Friday, September 20, 2024 beginning at noon at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Jeff Tuesley officiating. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Darlene Ann Wolfgang, 79, of Portage, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 28, 1945 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Ernie and Pauline (Buscher) Blade, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1963.
Darlene married David S. Wolfgang on November 7, 1965 in Lansing; after returning to Three Rivers they had two daughters and raised their family. The couple moved to Chase, Michigan in 1986, later returning to Portage.
She enjoyed canning, gardening, and playing bingo, but especially homemaker duties and loving her family and her toy poodles. Her kitchen was festooned with chicken figurines and chicken-themed décor.
Remaining to cherish Darlene’s memory are her husband, David; daughters, Deanna (Scott) Houser and Stacey Cooper; grandchildren, Lance (Sara) Feister, Erica (Elijah) Holcomb, Sara Kennedy, Brittany Wolfgang, and David Cooper; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie Blade and Pauline (Leroy) Sharpe; son-in-law, Matthew Cooper; great-grandson, Silas Cravens; and two brothers, Ernie Blade Jr. and Ken Blade.

Donations in Darlene’s memory may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Girls, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. I know how hard it is on your hearts. She must have had a fullfilled heart of love with all those grandkids!!! My thoughts and condolences to you both and your dad. Hope he’s doing okay. May she RIP!!!
