Obituary Notice
Anthony (Tony) Pitone, 91, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Tecumseh, Michigan.
He was born August 26, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Francesco and Angelina (Sirianni) Pitone. A high school graduate of the Class of 1951, Tony earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from NYU, followed by an MBA from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
Tony served his country with honor during wartime in the United States Army, a time he remembered with great pride. His service helped prepare him for a prominent professional career in engineering and management. Notably, Tony fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning his own business, a powder coating company. Quali-Tone Corporation was passed on to his sons who continue his legacy.
On May 1st, 1954, he married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Caldeira. Together they shared 62 years of love and were blessed with their 6 children. Tony was deeply respected and genuinely loved. His greatest joys in life came from spending time with family and friends playing cards (Bridge, Pinochle, and Michigan Rummy). Many of the happiest times were spent at his home on Fisher Lake where his children and grandchildren loved to visit and enjoy cookouts, boating, swimming, fishing, and making family memories.
Left to cherish his memory are his five children: Joseph (Lita) Pitone of Berrien Springs; John (Mary Ann) Pitone of St. Joseph; Linda Harvey of Plano, Texas; Sue Baione of Three Oaks, MI; and Diane Pitone of Birmingham, MI. Additional survivors include his daughter-in-law, Linda Pitone of Holly Springs, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Fred (Louise) Pitone of Rochester, New York; and sister-in-law, Linda Pitone of Dayton, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Pitone; his son, Frank Pitone; son-in-law, John Baione; and brother, Domenick Pitone.

Please Leave Your Condolences
When your condolences are submitted they will not display until approved by the Hohner staff for appropriateness out of respect for their memory. They should appear within 24 hours or less. Thank you for your understanding.

I knew Mr. Pitone primarily as the Dad of Linda and Sue, and in that role he always made me feel most welcome. I have many fond memories of him being a bit of a character with his somewhat goofy sense of humour and very expressive face. He was a good man and will be missed. My sincere condolences to the entire Pitone family, especially Linda and Sue.
With respect, Gene Whitehead
