Service Details
His family will receive friends Saturday, August 23, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with grandson Jordan Moon officiating. He will be laid to rest in Schoolcraft Cemetery.

Danny Collins, 62, of Schoolcraft, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his home.
He was born August 6, 1963 in Kalamazoo, the son of Everett and Thelma (Rutherford) Collins, and graduated from Schoolcraft High School with the Class of 1981.
Danny worked for many years for the Michigan Department of Transportation, rising to the rank of Supervisor of the Niles Garage.
On September 9, 1995, he married Vickie Walton.
Danny loved to golf and was a member of the NRA and the USCCA.
Danny was an avid gun collector who loved teaching his grandchildren about gun safety and target practice. He made many lasting friendships throughout his life and work.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Heather Parker and Blair (Joe) Mason; siblings, Elaine (Richard) Johnson, Patricia (Ken) McCuan, Ed (Maude) Tank, Gloria Long, Cindy Tank, and Nancy (Allen) Moran; grandchildren, Brianna (Austin) Pratt, Jordan Moon, Chyna Moon, Dylan Moon, Jade Blount, Charlette Mason, Austyn Mason, and Acacia Byrd; and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Collins, in 2019; his parents, Everett and Thelma Collins; his siblings, Bob Collins, Shawn Collins, and Susan VanValkenburg.
Additional Information
Donations in Danny’s memory may be directed to his daughters. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
