Service Details

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will be conducted. A Celebration of Ben’s life will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the American Legion of Sturgis, 500 W. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.

Obituary Notice

Benjamin James Ross, 49, of White Pigeon, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his home.

He was born August 25, 1976, in Three Rivers, the son of Benjamin L. and Vicki (Rustad) Ross, and attended Constantine Public Schools.

Ben worked as a Utility Worker at Home Depot. Ben enjoyed working at Home Depot as he was very social and enjoyed the time spent with other team members and he enjoyed assisting the public.

Ben had many interests and will always be remembered for his LOVE of University of Michigan football. Ben was also an avid Chicago White Sox fan and enjoyed attending games with his brother, Scott.

In addition to sports, Ben enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon; participating in the annual kayaking trip with his family; and spending time with family.

Ben will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a kind, caring, loving, and giving person. Ben was always willing to help his friends and family and was also protective of those that he loved.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his parents; son, Nathan Ross of Portage; daughter, Kayla (Evon) Stuart of Centreville and their children Bentlee, Brenton, and Aubree; brothers, Jason (Sabra) Ross, Darren (April) Ross, and Scott (Jill) Ross; many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents (Benjamin M. and Shirlda (Brewer) Ross) and Maternal Grandparents (Edward Rustad and Doris (Rustad) Gelvin).

Additional Information

Donations in Ben’s memory may be directed to his family in care of Nathan Ross to assist with the cost of final expenses. Envelopes will be available or sent to Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
