Obituary Notice

Norma Jean (Lausch) Kruger, 92, of Marcellus, went to be with her Lord Saturday, January 10, 2026 at her home.

She was born December 5, 1933 in Berrien Springs, the daughter of Herbert and Arlie Lausch.

On December 17, 1949, Norma married Paul Kurt Kruger Jr., whom she met while helping his family on their fruit farm. Together, the two owned several motels. Each summer, they enjoyed traveling up north to their cabin in the Upper Peninsula where they fished, rode the Gator, and enjoyed life.

Norma loved to play cards, fish, and garden. In the summer she could often be seen traversing her property on the Gator. She also enjoyed time with her family and friends – her Friday morning breakfast with ladies from her church was very important to her.

Holidays were a special time for Norma, when her family gathered together. She could be spicy and very outspoken but always loving – and her family loved her in return.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Eric (Andrea) Kruger of Marcellus, daughters, Gloria (David) Thomas of Three Oaks and Christine (John) McNeal of Marcellus; daughter-in-law, Darcie (Chris) Fox of Marcellus; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Eldon Lausch of Stevensville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kruger; two sons, Paul and Ronald; and many brothers and sisters.

  1. Cindy and I are not able to get to the funeral but our prayers are with the family. Norma was a great blessing over the years we served as Pastor at Edwards Corners. She was gracious host to our family numerous times not only when we visited but opening their cottage up north to us a couple of times. What a refreshment for us! Norma had a great live for her Lord Jesus Christ, her family and many many others. Looking for to see her and Paul again in the presence of Jesus! Praise the Lord!!

  2. John and I spent time with Norma and Paul through the years when they visited Gloria and Dave Thomas. Norma was a feisty lady and a strong mentor for her family. She seemed to have unlimited energy and was a caregiver and leader. She just took care of things❤️. We will miss this special lady but will hold all the memories close in our hearts.

  5. My aunt Norma was the nicest person you could ever meet. It was always a pleasure to see and talk with her. I am so happy I was able to see her and sit and just talk at the last family reunion. She said she hoped to make it to 93 in January and she did. God has received a good one for sure!!!! Prayers for the family that God gives you peace that you need during this difficult time..
