Obituary Notice

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Marshall Marvin Henschel Sr, who departed this life on March 18th at the age of 82.

He was a devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved Papa—a man whose quiet strength, steady presence, and generous spirit formed the foundation of his family. As a husband to Sandy, he was a constant source of love and partnership, offering unwavering support, laughter in difficult times, and a companionship that only deepened with 40 years of marriage. Their marriage stood as a testament to commitment, respect, and enduring love.

As a father to Marshall Jr (Sherri), Melissa (James), Scott (John), Sean (Kathy), and preceded in death by Chad (Karla), he led by example—teaching not through words alone, but through kindness, integrity, and patience. He instilled in his children the values that shaped their lives, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams while reminding them of the importance of family.

His greatest joy, however, was found in his role as a Papa to: Megan, Marshall III, Austin, Mallory and Christian; and also, Papa to Great Grandchildren: Maddie, Max, Ayden, Luka, Hux. His eyes would light up in their presence, and he cherished every opportunity to share stories, wisdom, and laughter. Through both simple moments and cherished traditions, he created memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

Lastly, he will be greatly missed by one of his most loyal family members, Daisy Mae.

Marshall found his greatest peace on the water, where his love for fishing was matched only by the joy it brought him to share it with others.

He will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle humor, and the way he made everyone feel valued and loved. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

In accordance with Marshall’s wishes, cremation will be conducted and a celebration of Marshall’s life will be held at a later date.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered—always.
