Her family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Obituary Notice

Sharon Kay Hay, 68, of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Three Rivers Health surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 5, 1957 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Eldon and Martha (VanKirk) Irwin, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1975.

On August 14, 1976, Sharon married James Hay. The two enjoyed fishing and camping together.

Sharon was an outgoing lady who wouldn’t turn anyone away. She loved being a Nana and cherished the time watching her grand- and great-grandbabies. She also enjoyed needlepoint, crochet, quilting (especially baby quilts), and bowling. She had a soft spot in her heart for her favorite dogs, Roxy and Charlie Brown.

Remaining to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jaime Hay and Jessie Hay; grandchildren, Zachary Salmen, Tyler Hay, Caleb Salmen, and Logan VanHuffel; great-grandchildren, Oaklee (Boogie) and Ashton; brother, Ron Irwin; sisters, Carol Hargrove and Karen Howard; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in October 2016; her parents; and two brothers, Rodney Irwin and Richard Irwin.

Additional Information

Donations in Sharon’s memory may be directed to her family c/o Jaime Hay or Jessie Hay. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

    She will be missed dearly just know she’s probably having a blast in heaven yelling at others to get off her property. 🤘
