Obituary Notice

Allen Ray Muldoon, DDS, 73, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 16, 1952, in Mishawaka, IN, the son of Foster and Ann (Freeman) Muldoon, and graduated from Edwardsburg High School with the class of 1970. Growing up Allen enjoyed spending time out on the lake. He also helped out at the family ice cream business, Bonnie Doon.

Allen graduated from Adrian College and from the University of Michigan Dental School. In 1979, he moved to Three Rivers and began his dental practice. He enjoyed meeting his patients and talking with them each time they came in. He continued to practice there for 39 years before retiring in 2017.

After meeting her in the biology lab at Adrian College, Allen married Shirley Nichols on May 17, 1975. They were married for 51 years and enjoyed biking, camping, and going for pontoon rides together. They also spent many hours watching kids and grandkids in all their activities. They loved playing games with friends and family.

Allen loved retirement. It allowed him to spend more time outdoors. He could often be found working in his garden, mowing, using the charcoal grill, walking with the dog, or finding any possible reason to be down by the lake. He also had a great sense of humor, and retirement gave him time to plan his next prank.

Allen’s relationship with God was an important part of his life, spending time reading his Bible every day. He was a long-time member of Three Rivers Bible Church where he had served on the board as well as taught Sunday School. He served on the Child Evangelism Fellowship board, was a member of the Gideons, and had served on the board for Howardsville Christian School.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Muldoon; sons, Steven (Loralee) Muldoon, Jeffrey (Megan) Muldoon, and Michael (Katie) Muldoon; daughters, Patricia (Brandon) Evans and Kristen (Ken) Sparks; grandchildren, Kyla, Colin, Dylan, Kaden, Kate, Kelsie, Lauryn, Kole, Mason, Kavin, Korbin, Gareth, Gwyneth, Colton, and Avery; sisters, Bonnie (Ray) Witt and Darlene Raab; brother-in-law, Ken Nichols; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, John Raab, and nephew, Ken Witt.
