Service Details
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at The Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, April 7, 2018 with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating.
Interment will be held following the service at The Lower Flatbush cemetery.
Obituary Notice
Betty L. Wheat, age 94, of Three Rivers passed away on Wednesday, April 04, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 18th, 1923 to Charlie and Glenice Harrington.
Betty was united in holy matrimony to her late husband, Verle H. Wheat, in Byron, Ohio on the 26th of April in 1941. Betty and Verle made Three Rivers their home. Betty worked for many years at the American Bank later (Old Kent Bank) where she was a proud member of the “moles” making lifelong friendships. Betty and Verle shared cherished memories at Clear Lake and Christmas Holiday was always a special time at the Wheat household.
Betty is preceded in passing by her husband, Verle Wheat, daughter, Terry and son, Jim Wheat; and two brothers, Leland and Robert Harrington.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Tom, Rick (Sue), Jeff, and David all of Three Rivers, Michigan; daughters in-law: Nancy and Vicki Wheat; a very special sister, Sue Wolfe and best friend Betty Livingston of Three Rivers; grandchildren: Anita (Jack) Keene of South Carolina, Rich (Lainie) Wheat, of Three Rivers, Lisa (Todd) Skyrzpek of Three Rivers, Lori (Tony) Skyrzpek of Schoolcraft, Amy (Tony) Page of Georgia, Chip (Sarah) Wheat of North Carolina, and Mysty Wheat of Arizona; great grandchildren: Hunter and Dawson Skyrzpek, Ryan and Alyx Wheat, Jenna, Jaxon, and Jordyn Keene, Meggan, Hannah, and Mia Skyrzpek, Hannah, Hayden, and Jude Wheat, Casen and Clayton Page; and a multitude of friends of all ages.

Memorial donations may be directed to The Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene’s Youth Group or The Three Rivers Hospice.
