In accordance with family wishes cremation will be conducted. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of Bobby’s life beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Hohner Funeral Home.
Obituary Notice
Bobby Ray Golden, 81, of Three Rivers, died September 2, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. Bobby was born April 5, 1938, in Pineville, Kentucky, to Floyd and Grace (Hoskins) Golden.
Bob worked for General Motors in their Chicago plant where he met his wife, Pam. They were united in marriage on January 7, 1984 and their daughter Amanda was born in 1985. Upon the closing of the plant, they relocated to Three Rivers, MI, in 1987 where he continued to work for GM until he retired in 1992 after 31 years of service. Bob returned to work at Pioneer Seed Company in Constantine, MI and retired with eleven years of service.
Bob and Pam enjoyed motorcycle riding with their friends and traveled many miles throughout the country on their trips. He also enjoyed watching grandson, Garrett play sports, family vacations, and visits from Dan and his family from California. Spending time with his family was his ultimate hobby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carolyn (Elam); father-in-law, Paul Mitchel of Minooka, IL.; siblings, Betty Nicely, Paul Willard, and Otis Golden; sister-in-law, Pat Golden.
Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of thirty-five years, Pam (Cook) Golden of Three Rivers; daughters, Amanda (Christopher) Reynier of Sturgis, Frances Jean “Jeanie” (Chris) Peace of Baxter, KY, and Carol “Robin” Kent of Angola, IN.; grandsons, Daniel (Melanie) Kent of California and Garrett Smith of Sturgis; granddaughters, Sarah (Chris) and Cate Peace; great grandsons, Ethan and Hayden Kent of CA; brother, Robert “Wayne” Golden of Pontiac, MI.; mother-in-law, Janet Mitchel of Morris, IL.; brother-in-law, Mike (Jen Nolan) Mitchel of Dripping Springs, TX.; sisters-in-law, Debbie Cook of Minooka, IL., Jan (Larry) Voigt of Grant Park, IL., and sister-in-law by love Deborah (Mike Egan) Schwarz of Vandalia, MI.; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Additional Information
The family suggests memorial donations be directed to Three Rivers Health Foundation. Envelopes available at the funeral home.

I’m so very grateful he had the best family a man could ever want. Pam and Amanda you were there till the end. I know full well what that is like. Bless you. God be with you and heal you.
