In accordance with family wishes, cremation will be conducted; she will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd., Augusta, MI 49012, where services will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
Obituary Notice
Bonnie Jean Reames, 90, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Edgewood Health & Rehabilitation in Three Rivers.
She was born December 24, 1933 in Schoolcraft, the daughter of Cornelius and Miram (Stiver) Michielson.
On October 11, 1952 in Vicksburg, she married Leo C. Reames, whom she had met on a blind date. The couple farmed all their adult lives and enjoyed traveling.
Bonnie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Portage. She loved spending time outside, especially maintaining her lovely flower garden. She always enjoyed holidays, especially Christmas – the day after her birthday.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her sister, Lois Macintosh, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Reames, in 2017; brother, Victor Michielson; sister, Betty Smith; brother-in-law, Dean Reames; sisters-in-law, Ruth Dieterman and Mary Boling.

My very dear friend & neighbor for many years. . I’ve missed our daily visits since u moved out of your house in Portage. We had some fun adventures eating out and shopping. Two of your favorite things to do. You had a great journey. RIP & say hi to Leo.

Aunt Bonnie I’ve missed you every since you’ve been in Three Rivers. I’m sorry I was only able to visit the 1 time. My ability to walk is failing quickly.

Thank you for you and Uncle Leo being such a big part of our lives, for my whole life. You’ve given me many great memories. I’m sad you’re gone but I know you’re happy to be back with Unc and everyone else up there.
