Obituary Notice
With a hug, a kiss and a wave goodbye, Brian Douglas Kaylor, 54, left to spend eternity in Heaven with Our Lord on December 6, 2025. With their love and blessings, his family bid a tearful farewell and waved goodbye to this special young man.
Born in Three Rivers with Down’s Syndrome and a unique hole in his heart, Brian lived his entire life with his mother. As a toddler, Brian survived three complex heart surgeries at Detroit Children’s Hospital.
Brian attended Pathfinder Center where he enjoyed golfing, bowling and especially enjoyed being manager for the Pathfinder Panthers basketball team. After he completed Pathfinder Center, he attended the Three Rivers Life Skills Center.
Brian enjoyed family activities, his birthday most of all, video games, was a true Notre Dame football fan and watched them every Saturday, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved going to church and when unable to go, he watched services on TV.
Brian had a personality unlike any other. He spread joy, smiles, jokes, and love to everyone he met. After getting to know Brian, a person could walk away with a renewed outlook on life. In his later years, Brian developed Dementia. Unfortunately, with the rapid decline of dementia, this beautiful young man was forever changed.
Surviving are his mother, Anita “Marti” Hagenbuch, brothers Adam Kaylor and Jeff (Darcie) Hagenbuch; sisters Laurie (Paul) Zarza and Deb (Tony) Ruden; Aunt Myrna Brown, Aunt Laura Sills; cousins Mike (Cindy) Brown, Charlie (Cyndi) Brown, Robert (Tonya) Sills, Thomas (Teresa) Sills; second cousins Jessica (Nick) Brady, Ashley (Neil) Taylor, Dean Lee, Sera Brown, Hannah Hassinger and special friend Anita Ollila, P.T.
Waiting in Heaven for Brian are his Great Grandma Dodds, Grandma and Grandpa Sills, Uncle Don Brown, Uncle Bob Sills, and Brian’s dog, Zach, and his cat, Lacee.

Marti,
We are so very sorry, Brian was a joy to know, his hugs were definitely genuine. I look back on our earlier friendship when the kids were young, sharing spaghetti and homemade pizza at each of our homes. I hope you can find peace knowing he is no longer suffering. I imagine he is playing ball with Zach.
All my love dear friend,
Marti, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when Brian was born and how excited your were. To see his picture and read about his life, you were an incredible mom. Tom and I send you hugs and our prayers that God will Comfort you by the Holy Spirit. You will be in our thoughts and prayers and you walk through this time.
Brian was a neat person. He liked to tease. I called him my birthday present because he was born on my birthday, August 3rd. I enjoyed being around him when I would visit his mom. I will really miss him.
Any of us that have experienced one of those hugs, seen that twinkle in his eyes or been told that he loved you, you are blessed. Blessed by the truest, purest, most honest love there is and you should treasure that as the gift that it is. Rest in peace sweet Brian.
So sorry Marti on the loss of Brian. Larry and I thought a lot of your Brian, he was such a sweet soul. Prayers, love and hugs going out to you.
Sorry for your loss Marti, I lost my mom on July 9,2024 to cirrhosis of the liver
