  1. We got to enjoy Carl’s sense of humor when he would visit American Legion Post 210 in Middlebury, In. He loved coming for our Thursday night meat raffles and food. He was such a sweet guy who always made us smile! Until we meet again my friend, I will try to keep your buddy Joe out of trouble. 🤭

  2. I am truly saddened about this news as I recall the special kindness that Carl and Betty showed me as a young black kid growing up in Three Rivers. My time there was not always pleasant, however there was a bright light that God placed in my path that allowed me to become the man and grandfather that I am today. Carl and all the Henegar family showed me the caring and compassion that was needed during my impressionable years and for that I will always be greatfull. You have my deepest condolences.

  3. During my childhood, around the age of 7 or 8, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Henegar. My brother and I would frequently visit his convenience store in Three Rivers, enticed by the promise of the finest candy in the area. Mr. Henegar’s compassion and unwavering trustworthiness left an indelible mark on me. As he ascends to heaven, my heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the Henegar family and all who cherished his memory.” 🌹

  4. Carl was a friend the day he arrived in Three Rivers and moved in across the street from us on Buckhorn Road. My wife Shari and I did many things with Bette and Carl and always enjoyed their company and sense of humor. I played golf with Carl on the Elk’s league as well as many other places. I have fond memories of our times together and will always remember Carl saying “I love you man” when we parted. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carl’s family. Enjoy the memories as we will.
