Service Details
Visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. Pastor Jerry Solis will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Poe’s Cemetery.

Connie Lea Butcher, 77, of Jones, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 5, 1946 in Steuben County, Indiana, the daughter of Harold and Edna (Chiddister) Bates. She was a graduate of Marcellus High School with the Class of 1965.
Connie married Duane Butcher at Poe’s Church on June 16, 1976. Together, they ran Triple D Concrete out of Jones for 25 years.
She was happiest when spending time with family. An avid bowler, she also loved reading and cooking. Most recently, she enjoyed taking rides on the golf cart, especially at her house up north.
Remaining to cherish Connie’s memory are her husband, Duane Butcher; daughters, Tami Ash, Staci Bates, and Shannon (Ken) Harmon; step-children, Kathy Cordial, Duane (Amy) Butcher Jr., and Deanna (Mike) Randol; sister, Judy Gavin; sister-in-law, Ellie Schwartz; brother-in-law, Roger (Joyce) Butcher; grandchildren, Alisha, Joshua, Amanda, Andrew, Elizabeth, Samantha, Emily, and Grayson; 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edna Bates; her first husband, James Pelon; and six sisters, Vivian, Hilda Marie, Marjorie, Maralee, June, and Norma; sister-in-law, Sharon Ruggles; brother-in-law, Arthur Butcher; step-son, James Butcher.
Additional Information
Donations in Connie’s memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
