Obituary Notice

Daniel “Danny” Fredrick Lockwood, age 42, of Three Rivers, MI, passed away on September 1, 2025, surrounded by his children and family.

Danny was born on October 11, 1982, in Three Rivers, Michigan, to Gary Paul Lockwood and Patty K. Lockwood (Castle). He was raised in Three Rivers, where he built lifelong friendships and shared many memories with family and friends.

Danny had a big heart and a personality that made people feel welcome wherever he went. He enjoyed fishing and liked to think of himself as a “real American picker,” always on the hunt for treasures. A true sports fan, he loved cheering for the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He was an avid baseball card collector, a lifelong wrestling fan. He also gave back to his community by coaching Little League baseball, where he encouraged kids to play hard, have fun, and believe in themselves. Danny also loved music and always found joy in sharing songs that moved him.  He never went without his hair gel, and boy, did he love Little Caesars pizza.

Above all, Danny loved his family. He cherished time with his children, nieces, and brothers, often surrounded by kids and soaking up every laugh and smile. His children, Madison and Maxton, were his greatest inspiration, and he was proud to be their dad. Danny had a gift for making people laugh even on their hardest days, and he was like a father figure to many. He accepted everyone as they were and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Patty Lockwood, along with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other loved ones who welcomed him into eternal rest.

Danny is survived by his beloved children, Madison Lockwood and Maxton Lockwood; his brothers, Anthony “Tony” Lockwood, Joseph “Joe” Lockwood and wife Casey Lockwood, and Gary “Garmo” Lockwood; his nieces, Logan, Riley, Savannah, and Pattie “PJ” Lockwood; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Though gone too soon, Danny’s spirit will live on in his children and in the countless lives he touched.
