  1. I grew up with Dennis and his family on Pleasant Lake. We were neighbors. His family took me everywhere and we hunted and fished together.
Dennis and i water-ski all summer and snow aki and played ice hockey all winter.
He was one of only 3-4 people who flew my delta wing kite behind our boat
We lost touch over the years but i did get to see him at our 30 year TRHS class reunion. I remember we had a good time catching up and each had a few too many.
I regret not staying in better touch with him over the years. It’s a shame when someone dies under these conditions.
My wife Julie always contacts people immediately, at least by text, whenever she wonders how they are doing. I’m going to change my ways in honor of Dennis.

  2. Dennis my friend, I cannot believe you are gone from this world, but I know where you are in the next. I will always value your friendship, your enthusiam, and your committment for others.

I will never forget our time at the Eagles especially when you were Chairman of the District 6 Golf Outing. You really raised awareness for the Bronson Burn Center and admired your committment.

I know the Angels have a gained a great man and a good friend and I know that one day we will meet again. Until then keep God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit entertained with that humor, and I will see soon. Love you my friend.

  3. To my friendDennis aka Too Tall, got to spend a weekend at MIS many years ago maybe 15 or so. He fried so many blue gills, walleye and pike we couldnt eat them all. Gave them away to our neighbors close by. I would stop by quite often and take him to town for whatever. Then to his driveway to drink a few beers. He is greatly missed already. To his daughters, he talked about you all the time,so sorry about your loss

  4. I just learned of Dennis’s passing just today. Although we were just acquaintances in high school, I remember him for his accomplishments. He was on that phenomenal varsity basketball team. I still remember the picture in the TR Commercial newspaper that mentioned the ‘vaunted height’ of the team. Dennis was in it with Mark DalPonte and Brad Withers. He was a member of Purple Pride and was a photographer for the yearbook staff. He will be remembered for these.

  5. We are so sorry about your dad. Always enjoyed talking with him and Ron recounts many crazy stories about your dad and Grandpa. Especially the one about the three of them smelt fishing and using your grandmas wash machine to clean them. Many fond memories for you to hold close to your hearts.

    • Its a very somber day for me , to hear my friend, Dennis has passed.
Laura and Dennis were my mother’s, Lorraine, neighbors in South Bend, when I returned from Germany after my Army discharge.
So much of my successful reclamation back to civilian life was the first moment I met Dennis. He was standing two steps below me at mom’s front door looking me straight in the eye…. with all the wit and humor he possessed… brought the world, I haven’t been around for two years, back to life!
I appreciated him and will always cherish the time we spent with each other.
Dennis and his family will always be a part of my family.
My Love and Condolences to the family .

      • This means so much to us! I will always have a connection with your mom because of her elephant slippers. Apparently, I was obsessed with them. I know that my parents had a true friendship with you and your family, but I never really knew how it started. Now I do. Thank you for this. You and your family have always held a special place in our hearts too.

      • Thank you ! God bless! Even though I was a kid i remember you visiting in our barn on SR 23 in North Liberty. God bless . And I absolutely loved your mom and all the Christmas eve/new years parties 🥳
