Service Details

His family will receive friends Tuesday, September 23, 2025 beginning at noon at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Vicky Blough officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.

Obituary Notice

Jack LaMar Bonebright, 94, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Centrica Rose Arbor Place, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born May 29, 1931 in Three Rivers, the son of Jacob and Frances (Lucas) Bonebright, and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1950. He also attended one year of college at General Motors Institute.

Jack served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Wasp during the Korean Conflict.

On February 24, 1957, he married Phyllis Peterson from Schoolcraft. Together they enjoyed many years raising their family in Three Rivers.

Jack worked at Peterson Springs and Johnson Corporation.

He was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, as well as a member of the BPOE #1248 and the U.S.S. Wasp Alumni Association.

Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved reading and enjoyed being a mentor to his family.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis Bonebright; children, Diane Boughton (Daryl), Linda Young (Jim), and Jim Bonebright (Cheryl); grandchildren, Janelle Beauchamp (Mike), Ryan Boughton, Tyler Boughton, Mary English, Mark English (Tina), Alyssa Bonebright, and Jared Bonebright; six beloved great-grandchildren, Jackson and Michael Weinberg, Phillip and Renee Beauchamp, Everlee and Lincoln English. He is also survived by his brother, John “Pete” Bonebright (Carole).

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandson, Jonathan Young.

Additional Information

Donations in Jack’s memory may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church or to the Three Rivers Elks. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Jack was a very nice man that was related to us on my moms side Norma (Hassinger) Moord..i remember jack and his brother pete at our family gatherings and how we always enjoyed talking with them..mom especially enjoyed get togethers when your families were there as they alwsys had alot to catch up on..our hearts go out to you during this hard time…luv the Moord kids

  3. To ALL my family, my heart hurts. I so wish I could be with you. Please know you are all in my prayers and thoughts.
    I have such good memories of Fisher Lake and all of us. He was such a great person and will be missed by many.
