Obituary Notice

Larry Calvin Wohlmuth, 86, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 19, 1938, in Pontiac, the son of the late Calvin C. and Marie G. (Monette) Wohlmuth.

Larry served his country as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. He returned to Southwest Michigan and worked as a line operator at Kirsch Company in Sturgis.

On June 28, 1969, he married Karon DeArmond who preceded him in passing on May 19, 2013. They enjoyed many years together.

Larry worked hard to provide for those he loved. When not working, he loved spending time at his property in Burr Oak, tinkering around the house, working in the garden, watching hummingbirds, and hosting deer camp. He kept a meticulous yard and was very proud of his landscape. He also enjoyed four-wheeling, fishing, and having a beer on a sunny afternoon. An avid golfer, he had a membership at Cedar Lake in Howe, Ind. Above all Larry loved his family and leaves behind many memories to cherish.

He is survived by his three children, Lyle Wohlmuth, LeAnne (Matt) Pechulis, and Lindy (Craig) Jackson; grandchildren, Kristopher (Taylor) Jackson, Zachery (Jordyn) Jackson, and Parker (Meghan) Jackson; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Barrett, and Evelynn Jackson; brother, Terry Wohlmuth.
