Obituary Notice
Marguerite Fay Crose (Maggie)
Born in South Bend, Indiana, on May 15, 1935
Passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026
Marguerite Fay Crose, lovingly known as Maggie, was the daughter of Zoltan and Florence Zombik. In 1953, Maggie married Corwin “Corky” Crose, and together they raised four daughters: Kim Crose, Lynn Bledsoe, Terri Knapp (and her spouse Robert Knapp), and Tracy Nibert (and her spouse John Nibert). Maggie is survived by her beloved sister, Susie Lent, and was also blessed with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
After the passing of her husband Corky in 2008, Maggie married Richard Stimpson in 2009, who survives her.
Maggie worked at Continental Can and retired from General Motors in the late 1980s. She was a passionate master gardener, a devoted member of the Three Rivers Garden Club, and a wonderful cook who passed on her cooking skills to all her daughters. She also loved reading, playing cards, camping trips, and square dancing with her husband.

My sincerest condolences to Kim, Lynn, Terri, and Tracy on the passing of their mother. I have very fond memories of Aunt Maggie and Uncle Corky who, by far, were my favorite aunt and uncle. Having spent countless Christmas celebrations at their home during my youth and shared meals later in life, I always enjoyed their company and appreciated their sense of humor, passion for life, and penchant for “telling it like it is”, sometimes in very colorful language. Thinking of you all during this difficult time
I had the honor of meeting and getting to know Maggie through her extended family, the Stimpsons. Maggie was a sassy, spirited lady who was always beautifully put together. I am so grateful and blessed to have had the opportunity to know her.
My heart is truly broken for her family and friends during this difficult time. I know she will be deeply missed — especially by her beloved Richard.
Sending hugs, love, and prayers to you all. 💛
Maggie was a beautiful wonderful woman, who always brightened up the rooms she entered with her joy of life and her stories. She is sadly missed by her step family as well. She is survived by her stepdaughter Lisamarie Stimpson (and husband Ron Bibby), four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren and stepson Jim Stimpson (and wife Deanna Meyler).
Kim I am so sorry for the loss of your mom… All you girls are in my thoughts and prayers… Love you girl

Our prayers go out to the girls. We used to square dance with Corky & Maggie, & Tracy used to babysit for us. What wonderful friends they were. We always had good times together. Our deepest sympathies to you girls & grandchildren.
I knew Corky and his eldest three daughters. Kim was in my graduating class. My condolences to the family.
