On August 20, 1977 he married Carol Bellew. Together they enjoyed trips to the Upper Peninsula to go camping, and spending time outside with their three children.
He worked in farming and later at Syndicate, where he eventually retired.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and building model ships. Steve also loved the Detroit Tigers, John Wayne movies, and the history channel, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
His family will always remember playing baseball in the front yard, tending to large vegetable gardens, and summers out on the lake, fishing and swimming.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Jors; son, Steven (Katie) Jors Jr.; daughters, Raquel (Alex) Candelaria and Cameron (Zachary) Blakely; grandchildren, Daisey, Remington, Aaliyah, Jayden, Shaelynn, Persephone, Isabelle, and Finneus; his sister, Roberta Ryan and nephew, Scott Ryan.
