A celebration of Teresa’s life will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers.

Obituary Notice

John 14:27 reads, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

In her own words, “My name is Teresa Kaye Binion. I was born on August 2, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. I have five sisters and two brothers and wall to wall nieces and nephews which I love dearly. I graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1983. Right after high school I worked a number of odd jobs before I worked at Heartland Health Care Center as a Nursing Assistant, which I did for ten years. I then transferred into dietary providing 19 more years of service.”

With deep love and profound sadness, we are here to celebrate the loving life of Teresa Binion, the third daughter born to William and Noreen [Curry] Binion. On July 10, 2025, Teresa was called home to be with the Lord.

In her spare time, she loved visiting different churches. She enjoyed the services and all of the good cooking. [smiles] She was a member of All Nations Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Parkville, MI under the late Rev. Luther Channey. And later, joining the Church of Christ in Three Rivers, MI under the late Rev. Glen Page.

Teresa enjoyed shopping at the malls in Kalamazoo, MI, watching movies late at night and listening to music. She also took interest in knitting, cooking, and crocheting, but most of all collecting old records, LPs, albums, Right On Magazines, and Jets.

Teresa also took interest in Tae Kwon Do. She loved competing with other teams and winning different belt ranks and trophies.

Teresa’s memories will be cherished by her siblings, William A. Binion of Redford, MI, Michele [Louis] White of Kalamazoo, MI, Bradley [Shalice] Binion of Farmington Hills, MI, Angela L. Binion of Miami, FL, and Althea J. Binion of Kalamazoo, MI.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, William and Noreen Binion, her oldest sister, Carolyn E. Binion, and her youngest sister, June Jennings.

She leaves behind a Host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and lots of friends and everlasting memories.

  1. Rest in peace, Teresa, you had a patient and wonderful heart. You will be greatly missed.. I always enjoyed seeing your smiling face when you came into to the church building on Sunday morning.
