Obituary Notice

Thomas “Tom” Scott Davis, aged 61, passed away peacefully at home in Three Rivers, MI, on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born on July 28, 1961 in Battle Creek, MI, to Donald and Marlene (Gregurash) Davis.

Tom, who was an enthusiastic football player and Eagle Scout, graduated from Lakeview High School (Battle Creek, MI) in 1979. He went on to receive his B.S. in Business (Accountancy) from Ferris State University in 1983. While at Ferris State, Tom was an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, where he made close lifelong friends. After graduation he went on to work as an examiner at Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis, a post which eventually led him to meet Robin (Lantz) Davis. They married in 1988 in Battle Creek, and over the years raised their two children. Tom continued his work in banking, occupying positions at many savings and loans, banks, and credit unions, and graduating from the Graduate School of Banking of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002.

Tom was an avid fan of Notre Dame and a member of the Notre Dame Club of Kalamazoo, and could often be found cheering on his team. He continued to be involved in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Assistant Scoutmaster and Committee Member for eight years and helping his son become an Eagle Scout as well. Tom was always happiest outdoors and on the water, and over the years enjoyed sailing, fishing, and exploring coastal Michigan with family and friends. He delighted in travel and always kept an inquiring mind, visiting historic sites and museums at home and abroad with his loved ones, and sharing news about his family and travels with coworkers and friends.

Tom truly loved and dedicated himself to his family and friends, and will be greatly missed and long remembered by his wife of thirty three years, Robin (Lantz) Davis of Three Rivers and their two children, Cathrine (Nick Barber) and Kurt (Lea Lovin) Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents, and leaves his memory with surviving siblings Duane (Carol), Jon (Debbie), and Patti (Kevin) Rich, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
