A gathering to celebrate and honor her life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI 49093. In accordance with her wish cremation will follow.
Obituary Notice
Wanda Joyce Evans, age 62, of Sturgis and formerly of Three Rivers, passed away at her home on March 29, 2023.
She was born in Marion, IN, on March 10, 1961, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eunice (Cameron) Moreland. She lived in Three Rivers for many years where she enjoyed raising her children. She also lived in Texas for several years and then returned to make Sturgis, MI her home.
Wanda was kind, gentle and loving. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a joy to know. She loved being outdoors, gardening and taking in nature’s beauty. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sci-fi television shows. Above all Wanda loved her children and her grandchildren. She made many memories doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren and her heart and home were always open for them. Wanda’s kind smile and laughter will be missed by those who loved her.
Wanda is survived by her loving children, Jeff (Carrie) Evans, Andrew (Natasha) Henry, Daniel Evans; four grandchildren, Emma Lynn Evans, Cassidy Rae Evans, Jakob Manuel Andujar-Sanchez, Lydia Monet Hall; five siblings, Gene (Mary) Moreland, Bobbie (Seth) Newburry, Roland Moreland, Gary Moreland, Christopher Moreland; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was also preceded in passing by two brothers, David and Michael Moreland; a niece, Maegan Abnet-Newburry; nephew, Alex Moreland.

Memorial donations in Wanda’s memory may be directed to the Evans family (checks payable to Jeff Evans). Envelopes are available and may be sent to Hohner Funeral Home.

I am so sorry for your loss And she will be Missed greatly It was a great pleasure to have Known her for many years I have lots and lots of memorit is that I will always cherish She was a very beautiful Lady and had a heart as big as gold And A smile to go with it It was a great pleasure To water and the grandchildren Doing arts and crafts And playing at the park I have lost a big piece of my heart and will miss her dearly And if there is anything I can don’t free to ask And I will keep you all in my prayers For I know that is what she would want me to do Her friend Ken
