Service Details

A celebration of Wendell’s life will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Destiny Church, 58385 Kerr Creek Rd., Three Rivers, with Pastor Jerry Solis officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mottville Township Cemetery at a later date.

Obituary Notice

Wendell R. Culbertson, 60, of White Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Kairos Dwelling, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 5, 1966, in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of Birty R. and Lucille (Cora) Culbertson.

Wendell served his country in the United States Navy and later worked as a driver for Dutchmen RV. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication in everything he did.

From the age of 14, Wendell had a passion for bodybuilding, a discipline that reflected his determination, perseverance, and commitment to personal strength. Above all, Wendell’s love for Jesus was overflowing and evident in the way he lived his life.

Wendell was a man of faith who loved the Lord. He appreciated simple moments, meaningful conversations, and time spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for his steady presence, quiet strength, and the deep care he had for his family.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his sons, Brandon (Amanda) Culbertson, Storm Culbertson, and Blade Culbertson; his daughter, Brittney Stevens; his grandson, Caleb Jacob Reese-Culbertson; his brother, Scotty Culbertson; his sister, Donna Culbertson; his niece, Lexi Donis (Cameron); his aunts, Brenda Worley (Don) and Char Tucker (Ron); and his uncles, Charles Culbertson, Tom Culbertson, and Jack Culbertson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a nephew, Devon Van Horn.

Donations in Wendell’s memory may be directed to his family in care of Donna Culbertson or Brandon Culbertson. Envelopes will be available at Hohner Funeral Home.

I knew Wendell from my bestie Donna his sister she called him Bubby and they were a great family and his son Brandon is so great also!Wendell and I have had so many fun times and where we could not stop laughing he is a special guy to me and I will NEVER forget who Wendell is the biggest brightest and smartest guy I have ever known!Wendell I love you and will miss you fly high my brotha and now you are out of all your pain Spread your wings I know you are feeling so wonderful and free Love your friend Bonita

  2. Wendell was an old soul. He was smart, loving, compassionate and dedicated. We had so many deep conversations. He always ended his deep conversations with his love for his family. He adored his sister Dona, his grandson Caleb, and his son Brandon. I remember so many conversations with Wendell regarding his future goals. It always involved God, his son and the ideals of building something meaningful for hos family. Wendell was a great man to me and my children. That man loved ALL children and always felt the need to help and guide all kids that came in contact with him. I pray he finds peace and comfort.
