Service Details

Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. A funeral service will follow at noon with Rev. Derl Keefer officiating. He will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

William Albert Mader, 89, of Three Rivers, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 in Murrieta, California surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 13, 1934 to Harry and Merrion Mader in Three Rivers. He served in the army from 1955 to 1957. On October 2, 1955, he married Ruth Soule and together they had five children before they divorced. William then married Beulah Monroe on March 31, 1978.

William lived in the Three Rivers area most of his life until he moved to Murrieta, California to live with his son Don and his family. He worked at Continental Can and later at Hydramatic as a tool and die maker until he retired.

In his free time, William enjoyed hunting on his property and later sold Christmas trees, but giving away as many as he sold. When Beulah needed more care than he could provide, they moved together into Bowman Place Assisted Living in Three Rivers.

William was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, wife Beulah, brother Robert, sister Bonnie, oldest son David, and granddaughter Diana. He is survived by sons Donald (Marilou), Mark (Laurie), Timothy (Janice) and daughter Merrion (Garry Watson); daughter-in-law Debra Mader; as well as stepson Douglas Monroe (Cindy) and stepdaughter Joy Wegner (Glenn). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
