Service Details
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Hohner Funeral Home. Interment of cremains will follow visitation at Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.
Obituary Notice
William “Bill” Charles Salisbury, 74, of Centreville, Mich., passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born April 18, 1945 in Three Rivers, Mich., the son of Lorance and Charlotte Grace (Schrader) Salisbury.
He loved Coca-Cola and collected pop tabs to donate to schools and organizations; his favorite meal was a hamburger and a Coke to go with it. He participated in Special Olympics bowling, and loved watching westerns, cowboy hats, and fishing.
He was employed at Arch Workshop for many years in the assembly department.
Bill most recently resided in the Zenith Home of Centreville with five housemates whom he made lasting friendships with. He was a very gentle soul with a warm personality who was always giving and concerned for others. The staff at the Zenith Home always enjoyed Bill’s laughter, funny stories, and constant conversation he would share. He adored his nieces and nephews and touched many lives through the Adapt program. Through serving on Community Mental Health’s Advocacy Committee, he helped others be respected and admired with his commitment to kindness.
William leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Keith “Skip” Salisbury; one sister, Zella (Joe) Dumont; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Douglas Salisbury; two sisters, Charlene Dock and Marian Arnold; infant twin siblings, Lorraine and Lorance Salisbury; sister-in-law, Patricia Salisbury.
