Obituary Notice

Kurt F. Hagenbuch, 81, of Three Rivers, was reunited with the love of his life on December 25, 2025, passing away at Centrica Rose Arbor Place.

He was born March 18, 1944, in Three Rivers, the son of Floyd and Violet (Bingaman) Hagenbuch Sr., and graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1962.

Kurt worked in the tool and die industry for many years, starting with 25 years at W.F. Wells and then at The Johnson Corporation (now Kadant Johnson) for 22 years, retiring in 2009.

On November 14, 1964, he married Dianne Forward, his high school sweetheart, beginning a nearly 61-year journey marked by love, laughter, and deep devotion to family.

Kurt was a lover of all animals, especially dogs. Throughout their marriage, the Hagenbuchs had many dogs of all different breeds. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. In his later years, he was especially fond of his snack drawer, always filled with Honey Buns, molasses cookies, and powdered donuts.

Kurt and Dianne enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and were familiar, supportive faces at their sporting events.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kimberly (David) Veenstra and Kandi Hagenbuch; grandchildren, Derek and Kiersten; mother-in-law, Bertha Forward; sisters-in-law, Bobbie (Floyd Jr.) Hagenbuch and Carole (Jerry) Hagenbuch; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dianne Hagenbuch, on May 20, 2025; and his siblings, Bernadette, Delores, Nola, Floyd, and Jerry.
