Obituary Notice

Adrienne M. Tracy, 81, of Three Rivers, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in Chicago, Ill. while visiting family.

She was born July 17, 1942, in Chicago, the daughter of Connie and Bernice (Obszarny) Szczublewski.

Adrienne and her future husband, Ronald Tracy, grew up in the same neighborhood; in a classic case of a “good girl” meeting a “bad boy,” the pair fell in love and eventually were married 47 years prior to his passing.

Caring, loving, and super funny, Adrienne was a wonderful mother to her eight children.

She loved to cook, especially pierogies and chop suey. At Easter her family feasted on Polish sausage, kielbasa, eggs, and ham. She carried on all the traditions from her mother and passed them on to her children and theirs.

Following Ron’s retirement from the Fire Department, he and Adrienne moved to Long Lake in Three Rivers, where her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren made many memories swimming, boating, fishing, and camping out. She loved taking boat rides and watching all the excitement.

Remaining to cherish her memory are three sons, Jeffery Tracy, Bryan (Kathleen) Tracy, and Patrick Tracy; four daughters, Deborah Kiaulakis, Nannette (James) Foghino, Sharon (Darrin) McCarthy, and Colleen (Vincent) McAndrew; daughter-in-law, Sherry Tracy; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Tracy; her son, Dwayne Tracy; and all her sisters and brothers.

  1. Adrienne was such a fun sweet lady. I will miss her so much! I just heard of her passing today or I would have been at the memorial. She loved her family so much! She did love the Easter tradition, I always told her I was going to come to her house and have Easter dinner with her. Of course she said I was welcomed.

    • Adrienne was an amazing woman. I loved listening to her stories about the old days, and learning about the family’s heritage and culture. She made me feel like I was her own grandkid over the last 20 years. We will all miss you Gram.
