Service Details

Per the family’s wishes cremation has taken place a public visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Hohner Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Ted Cross officiating. A separate celebration of Alex’s life will be held at a later date yet to be determined.

 

Obituary Notice

Alexander Flynn Baker, 35, passed away unexpectedly Sunday February 3, 2019 at his home in Three Rivers. Alex was born on August 15, 1983 in Three Rivers, MI the son of Robert and Ann (Kirchner) Baker

He graduated Three Rivers High School in 2002 after receiving the Golden Hammer award for CTE Building Trades. He worked at Armstrong’s, cared for his grandma, and spent the rest of his time with friends and family. He was a lifetime member of Splatmandu Paintball Club where he received many awards including the Sportmanship Award, as well as an avid Splatmanboo participate. Their Motto: Play with Honor was something he applied everyday not just on the field.

He loved time with his nieces and nephews playing a wide variety of games or hanging poolside. He always had of way of making the kids feel safe in the water. He enjoyed online gaming and made friends worldwide he enjoyed spending time with them especially making them laugh. He was always good for a smile no matter the situation.

Alex is preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert T. and Twila M. Kirchner Sr. and Robert F. Baker Sr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory grandmother: Wiletta Baker; his parents: Robert F. and Roberta A. Baker; siblings: Jon (Amy) Baker, Angela (Kurt) Kunz all of Three Rivers, MI; several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as two great nephews Jace and Michael. As well as extended Splat and WoW families.

Additional Information

Memorials made in Alex’s memory may be directed to The Salvation Army. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

  1. Dear Bob and Bobbi, I am so sorry to hear of Alex’s passing. My brother Matt clued me in when he saw the announcement. I can’t imagine how you must be feeling …such loss, so young, so unexpected, your son.

  2. It sincerely saddens me to hear of the passing of Alex. Although I didn’t have the honor of knowing him personally. I have heard many stories from “my kids” about his loving, caring and funny side. I offer my sincere condolences to you all. Hold you memories close, as they will be your greatest comfort.

  3. Sorry to hear about Alex, he was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet, he would help you out, if you were one of this good friends, I grew up with him and his brother and sister, also grew up with his sisters husbands family , he will truly be missed by us that knew him.
