Obituary Notice
Amanda Hale, 74, of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at her home. She was born on January 6, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Jim & Essie Lee (Benison) Hale, who preceded her death.
She worked as a medical supply assistant at a hospital in Chicago, Illinois, until she retired. Mandy, as she was known to her friends and family, brightened any room and was always dressed to impress, with her hair, makeup and nails always done. She enjoyed shopping and traveling and throughout her life, visited many parts of the U.S., as well as Italy, France, Denmark and other countries throughout Europe. She enjoyed dining out, but also indulged in her love of cooking. Mandy also had an incredible “green thumb”, which resulted in her home overflowing with plants that she would gift to her loved ones. Most importantly though, she was a loving, yet stern mother and a loyal friend. She often told her son, Lance, “you’ll find your way my son, in the meantime, just keep living.”
Remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Lance Robert Hale of Three Rivers; grandchildren Rhianna, Ariel, Geno, Topanga, Grace and Lace; step-daughter Susan and step-son, James Jr. She also leaves three sisters, Delois (Clarence) Payne of Harker Heights, TX, Vanessa Mitchell of Harker Heights, TX, and Everlynn Hale of Schererville, IN, as well as a host of aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Hale, Richard Hale and Nathaniel Hale and sister Dorothy Starks.
