Obituary Notice

Annette Margaret (Hall) Lundberg went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 10, 2026, in Dowagiac, Michigan. Annette was born in Big Rapids, Michigan, on October 29, 1938, to the Rev. Robert M. and Jeannette (Brandt) Hall. Annette was named after her Mother’s twin sister, Annette MacPherson, and her Father’s sister, Margaret Keegstra, both of whom had a significant influence on her life.

Annette attended elementary school in Big Rapids and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her family moved to Three Rivers, Michigan at the beginning of her middle-school years when her Father accepted the Pastorate at the Three Rivers Bible Church. Annette graduated from Three Rivers High School with the Class of 1956. She then continued her education at Elkhart University where she graduated with a medical technology degree. During her summer breaks from school, Annette enjoyed working at the Keegstra grocery store in Middleville, Michigan. Annette learned precise packing skills while bagging groceries and stocking shelves, a skill she used often in life. After graduation, she initially worked at a hospital lab in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She then moved back to Michigan and worked as a lab technician for Dr. Donald May in Kalamazoo.

Annette met her husband Bruce at church, when Bruce was visiting his sister in Three Rivers. Bruce and Annette were married at the Three Rivers Bible Church on September 3, 1960. Annette enjoyed spending her life as a wife, mother, homemaker and volunteer. She built a home life that was nurturing, beautiful and full of good food. This provided a welcome respite especially to Bruce after a long week on the road as a long-haul truck driver. Annette and Bruce had three children, to whom she was a loving and devoted Mother. Annette would be most proud to be remembered for raising three exceptional children that love the Lord and have grown up to become successful and productive members of their own communities.

Annette’s faith in Jesus Christ was very important to her. During her adult life, Annette was a faithful and active member of the Three Rivers Bible Church and Bethany Chapel, both in Three Rivers, Michigan, and Berean Baptist Church in Portage, Michigan.

Annette was the church organist, music librarian, enrolled and supported new babies and their Moms in the Cradle Roll ministry, taught in Vacation Bible School, provided food for church events, and helped out wherever there was a need. She most enjoyed driving church bus for AWANA and loving on the children that came to AWANA and their families.  Those connections have endured throughout the years.

Annette enjoyed living at Fishers Lake, supporting her children and grandchildren in their musical and sporting endeavors, doing word puzzles, collecting cookbooks, and trying new recipes. She had many fond memories of times spent at Gull Lake Ministries, Up North and in the Upper Peninsula, and attending Gaither Homecoming and Collingsworth Family concerts with family and friends.

In recent days, Annette received loving care and therapy from the staff at Life Care Center (LaGrange, Indiana) and The Timbers of Cass County (Dowagiac, Michigan). Annette was most grateful for the many visits and cards from her church family and friends while she was away from home.

Annette is survived and forever cherished by her husband, Bruce; her children, Laurie (Barry) Crotser of Three Rivers, Michigan, Sara (Frank Bailey) Lundberg of Rockville, Maryland, and Eric (Jennifer) Lundberg of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Andrew Crotser of Boys Ranch, Texas, Ashley (Joel) Sparks of West Lafayette, Indiana, Jonah Lundberg, Kate Lundberg and Seth Lundberg of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; her great-grandchildren, Bristol Sparks, Hudson Sparks, Coen Sparks and Sullivan Sparks of West Lafayette, Indiana; her brother, David (Priscilla) Hall of Wheaton, Illinois; and a special daughter and grandson, Tessa (Tom) Ellsworth and Samuel Ellsworth of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, her great-grandson Emerson Sparks, and a special daughter Elizabeth Kauffold.
