Obituary Notice

Arlene L. Robertson, 84, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, surrounded by love at Centrica Rose Arbor Place.

She entered the world on October 22, 1941, in Burr Oak, the cherished daughter of Frances and Lula (Fox) Schneider. Growing up in the area, Arlene developed a lifelong love for her community and the people in it.

Arlene was a woman who loved life’s simple pleasures and thrived in social settings. Known for her bright personality and sharp wit, she was a dedicated member of the Three Rivers Moose Lodge and loved spending her afternoons playing bingo and catching up with friends at the Three Rivers Eagles and the American Legion. Arlene always believed in looking and feeling her best; she took great joy in her regular outings to get her hair and nails meticulously done, a pampering routine that always put a smile on her face. Above all else, her family was her anchor, and she treasured the gatherings and milestones they shared.

Her legacy lives on through her devoted family. She is survived by her loving son, Brian Ruth; and three daughters, Michele Nelson, Becky (Steve) Hipskind, and Debra Ruth. She was the proud grandmother of Wesley Morell, Tommy Cross, Dustin Hipskind, Christopher Ruth, Kaley Ruth, Sydney Ruth, Shayna (Jaxon) Dobrowolski, Megan Ruth, and Bryan Ruth. She also leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren, who brought immense light to her later years; her brothers, Frances Jr. (Barbara) Schneider and Timothy (Karen) Schneider; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Arlene was reunited in peace with those who went before her: her parents; two sons, David Ruth and Terry Ruth; her daughter, Barbara Cross; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Cross.
