Service Details

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Bethany Chapel, 15310 Millard Rd, Three Rivers, MI 49093 with Pastor Timothy Moore officiating. Visitation held an hour prior to service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with social distancing precautions followed.

Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.

Obituary Notice

Beulah Mae Mader, age 84, of Three Rivers, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Bowman Place of Three Rivers.

Beulah was born on June 28, 1936 in Mendon, MI to Charles and Laura (Yunker) Crotser.

A lifetime resident of St. Joseph County, Beulah was a homemaker and an avid softball player, who played from childhood until age 70.

She attended Howardsville Gospel Chapel for many years and later Bethany Chapel.

Beulah is survived by her husband, William Mader, whom she married March 31, 1978 in Mendon; son, Douglas (Cindy) Monroe; daughter, Joy (Glenn) Wegner; stepsons, Donald (Lou) Mader, Mark (Lorie) Mader and Timothy (Jan) Mader; stepdaughter, Merrion Mader; stepdaughter-in-law, Debbie Mader; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, David (Marilyn) Crotser; sisters, Dorothy (Neil) Bishop and Wava Eckert.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepson, David Mader; four brothers and two sisters.

Additional Information

Memorials in Beulah’s memory may be directed to Howardsville Christian School.  Envelopes available and may be sent to Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

    Beulah was a very sweet woman, always enjoyed our conversations together.
    I first knew her through Home Interior days of doing decorating shows, later when I in turn around hosted her basket parties. Lots of fun we had! Will miss you Beulah!!
