Service Details

In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held on June 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Newberg, 13021 Born St., Jones, MI, 49061. A graveside service will follow.

Obituary Notice

Carol Elaine Swiatkowski, 73, of Baldwin, MI passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital.

She was born December 30, 1947, in Warren, Mich., the daughter of William and Harriet (Wetter) Manunas.

On June 24, 1967, she was married to Michael Swiatkowski. They spent so much time together camping, canoeing, motorcycle riding, snowmobiles, gardening. Carol and Mike enjoyed camping with their close friends and doing some travel.

In her spare time, Carol enjoyed crocheting, making several blankets for family and friends. She loved her beloved pets very much her dog Maggie and cat Bootsy, she also loved any wildlife that came to her door. Through the years many family pets were saved from the local Humane Shelters.

Remaining to cherish her memory are her children, Marilyn Ward (Jason Dickmeyer) of Hot Springs Village, AR, Tammy Ostrowski (Norman Ostrowski) of Swanton, OH, and Michael J. Swiatkowski, grandchildren Travis Cantrell, Keith Cantrell Jr., Joshua Cantrell, David Ward (DJ), and Kelsey Swiatkowski, Kenzie Brown, and great-grandchild Kai Cantrell.

She was preceded in death by both her parents William and Harriet Manunas, husband Michael S. Swiatkowski, and her 2 brothers Victor Manunas, Sonny Manunas, and sister Evon Killian.

    I am so very sorry for the loss of your mom and grandma. She was always such a nice person and loved all of you so much. She took family members under her wing and made them feel special. I hope the fun and wonderful memories of your mother and grandmother carry you and remind you that there is a beautiful person watching over you always. She will be in your heart forever.
